Description

At Baby Bumps, we’re dedicated to providing a personalised and high-quality service. Unlike ‘conveyor belt’ clinics, we ensure that you and your guests don’t feel rushed. We take the time to explain all scan findings clearly and answer any questions you may have. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible scan photos and a comforting experience.

The health and well-being of you and your baby are our top priorities. Each scan begins with a thorough well-being check to confirm everything is progressing as expected. Our specialist Sonographers are highly trained and registered, ensuring professional and accurate results. After your scan, we provide a detailed medical report and, if necessary, we can promptly refer you to local NHS hospitals for further care through our established connections.

For early reassurance scans, we recommend waiting until at least 6 weeks into your pregnancy. It’s helpful to attend with a full bladder to improve image clarity. If we can’t get a clear view, we may offer a transvaginal ultrasound. Should the scan confirm that you’re too early for accurate results, we will gladly offer you a free rescan at a later date.

How to prepare for your early reassurance scan

  • Hydrate: Drink about a litre of water an hour before your appointment and try to avoid using the toilet. This helps improve the clarity of the images.
  • Dress Comfortably: Wear loose-fitting clothes to ensure you’re comfortable during the scan.
  • Transvaginal Scan: If we can’t get a clear view with an abdominal scan, we may offer a transvaginal scan.
  • Consent Form: Please complete and return the consent form sent to your email before your visit.
